The Faustino 3.1 is Rocket’s domestic grinder: 50 mm flat burrs turning at around 1650 rpm, stepless adjustment, and a small touchscreen offering single, double, triple or manual dosing. It stands about 388 mm tall with the hopper on and weighs roughly 6.9 kg. The bean hopper holds around 1.5 lb.
Those dose buttons are timed, not weighed — they run the burrs for a set duration and assume beans are feeding from a full hopper. Useful if you grind the same coffee every day. Less useful if you weigh each dose or change beans often.
What changes with a single dose hopper
This replaces the stock hopper so you put in exactly the beans you intend to grind. Grind, then press the silicone bellows to push grounds out of the burr chamber and chute. On a 50 mm grinder feeding a domestic espresso routine, the grounds carried between doses are a meaningful share of an 18 g dose — clearing them is the difference between the coffee you weighed and the coffee you actually brew.
Version 3
Every unit we ship today is Version 3. The bellows is a custom branded, factory moulded silicone part — it is no longer 3D printed, as our earlier versions were.
How it is made
3D printed: lid, lid lock ring, connector, air-leak prevention gasket
This hopper is made for the grinder named on this page. Fit tolerances vary between units and production runs, so minor adjustment may be needed to seat it perfectly on your grinder. Every unit is covered by our 2 year warranty.
