A dosing cup you set to your own basket

This is a dosing cup rather than a hopper — it sits under the grinder, catches the dose, and transfers it to your portafilter. It is sized around 58 mm baskets, and the adjustment is the reason it exists.

Why adjustable

58 mm is a nominal figure. Actual basket diameters vary slightly between manufacturers, and a cup machined to one fixed size either sits too loose and spills grounds around the rim, or too tight and will not seat. The adjustment lets you set it once to your own basket and leave it there.

How it fits the workflow

Grind into the cup, give it a tap or a stir to settle the bed, then invert it into the portafilter. It keeps grounds off the bench and gives you a moment to break up clumps before they go in — which matters more with single dosing, where static from a small dose tends to make grounds clump on the way out.

The body is 3D printed in PETG with laser cut and engraved detailing.
