Single dosing on the La Pavoni Cilindro
The Cilindro runs 50 mm tempered steel flat burrs with stepless adjustment across 20 or more settings, and an LCD display handling timed dosing and continuous grinding. The standard bean hopper holds 500 g and is moulded from Tritan, a BPA-free impact-resistant plastic; the Prosumer variant carries 600 g.
That hopper is a good piece of engineering and it is still 500 g of beans sitting above the burrs between sessions.
What v3.0 changes
This bellows hopper replaces it, so instead of filling a container you weigh out the dose you want to grind. Load, grind, then press the silicone bellows to push grounds through the burr chamber and out of the chute.
The Cilindro’s timed dosing assumes a steady bean feed from a full hopper — useful when you grind the same coffee daily, less so when you weigh each shot. Once you are dosing by weight, the timer is doing a job you have already done more accurately, and the hopper is just storage you did not ask for.
Version 3
Every unit we ship today is Version 3. The bellows is a custom branded, factory moulded silicone part — it is no longer 3D printed, as our earlier versions were.

Fitting
This hopper is made for the grinder named on this page. Fit tolerances vary between units and production runs, so minor adjustment may be needed to seat it perfectly on your grinder. Every unit is covered by our 2 year warranty.
